He is also a member of EP (Editorial Photographers). Photography has given Ron the opportunity to travel the world, having the pleasure of seeing all aspects of life and making lifelong friends with clients and subjects alike. His photos on one assignment turned into a special tour for Japanese travelers to travel the same route as the photographer and writer. Other assignments resulted in a wedding party invitation at a Welsh pub at the request of the vicar, being stuck for ten hours in a snowstorm on the German autobahn, being invited for breakfast outside a stall at the Istanbul Spice Market, and fishing for dolphin fish in the Florida Keys. Each assignment brings a new adventure. Ron lives in McLean, Virginia, with his wife, Dr. Alexandra Tolstoy (a research scientist specializing in acoustical oceanography). |
